The "Fat Freezing"
Cryolipolysis or 'fat freezing' is the most popular non-surgical choice for clinically proven fat reduction. Our applicators allow for up to 40% reduction in fat in a single area and once an area has been treated those fat cells will be destroyed through a process called apoptosis in the weeks that follow, making this a truly viable alternative to invasive surgery.

Cryolipolysis was discovered by dermatologists Dieter Manstein MD and R.Rox Anderson MD, at a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and proved that prolonged, controlled local tissue cooling can induce selective fat cell reduction without damaging the overlying skin.
​
Cryolipolysis or 'fat freezing' uses controlled cooling to target these cells for a sustained period and then the crystallised fat cells die off gradually and are eliminated from the body. In the weeks and months that follow the remaining fat cells condense, thus reducing the fat layer markedly.

WHO IS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR CRYOLIPOLYSIS OR 'FAT FREEZING'?
Patients who wish to reduce local fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise from the abdomen, flanks, back, thighs or upper arms.

The treatment is not an overall weight loss solution so excellent candidates are within 1-3 stones of their ideal weight.
DOES IT HURT?
Many patients remark on how easy the procedure is. There is some feelings of pressure as the tissue is drawn up into the applicator head but this only lasts few a few minutes. The area numbs quite quickly and the patient is free to relax for the duration of the treatment time, quite comfortably.

Post treatment, there may be some redness and/or bruising but this usually reduces shortly after treatment.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE TREATMENT
After the consultation and appropriate measurements taken, you will be invited to relax on the treatment bench. A skin protective membrane will be applied and the applicator head positioned over where the required pocket of fat is to be treated.

The fatty tissue will be drawn into the applicator head, a pleasant warming sensation will be felt for a few minutes followed by a gradual drop in temperature.
WHEN WILL I SEE MY RESULTS?
Usually results are visible from 3-6 weeks post treatment but may take up to 3 months for optimal results to be visible.
